Embroidered Film Ticket | In Broad Daylight

An embroidered intervention on a film ticket from In Broad Daylight (白日之下) inspired by its poster.
Using red and black threads, I stitched directly onto the printed image of the ticket, partially obscuring the figure while leaving fragments of the original image and printed text visible beneath the embroidery.
The work explores the relationship between image, memory and concealment, considering how a familiar image can be altered through the physical act of covering, layering and reworking. By using an everyday cinema ticket as the base, the embroidery becomes both an addition to and an interruption of the original image.
