About me

Yuet Tung | reddish pimple
I am an embroidery artist and the founder of Reddish Pimple, an independent embroidery studio based in Hong Kong.
I began working with embroidery in 2020, initially creating small handmade accessories and wearable pieces. Over time, my practice has gradually expanded into embroidery artworks and experimental projects, exploring the possibilities of thread, texture, colour and the slow process of hand stitching.
I am interested in the relationship between embroidery and visual expression — how a simple thread can be built up through countless small stitches to create atmosphere, movement and emotion. My works often draw from natural forms, cultural imagery and everyday observations, while leaving room for ambiguity and interpretation.
Alongside my personal art practice, I also hold small-scale embroidery workshops, sharing the process of making through a slower and more focused approach. Rather than simply teaching techniques, I hope to create a space where each person can develop their own rhythm and relationship with embroidery.
Reddish Pimple is an ongoing practice through which I explore embroidery as both a craft and a medium for artistic expression.
